I for one would be outraged at such a response. I suggest that anyone in
the market for a Pentium system for Lightwave deliberately call these
bozos and tell them what you've heard here, and that you would not
consider spending $3000 - $4000 or more with such a company. One day,
companies like
these will learn that to effectively maintain and grow your business, you
must first take care of your customers.
I too am now looking for an NT capable machine, and would like the
number for MITAC. I'd like to let them know that their quest to get a
few more hundred $$$ from Dan, cost them at least one more $4000 sale.
I firmly believe that if at least a few of us call, (a dozen or so) that
Dan might get a call requesting an opportunity to set things right.
Funny how the loss of $30,000 plus makes a simple motherboard
replacement seem like the honorable thing to do...)
(That goes for John Gross and anyone else who may have been treated
unfairly.)
Dan, please give me the number for them, and remember, the Internet is a
powerful network!
